David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

Acclaimed young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
