Barça Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a public practice at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
