Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This event isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has encountered technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to head back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
